Your ACT is on the low range with Duke’s middle 50% being 32-35. Duke will be a reach so try to pull up your scores and work on expanding your ECs.
Slim to none with that ACT score. You will need at least a 34 to have a solid chance. A range of EC’s is good, but I think Duke wants someone that is passionate about something rather than lukewarm about many different things. What is your primary focus?
To break stereotypes. NAS is an honor society for Minorities to do so and the Muslim Student Association is supposed to have the same goal. So they somewhat link with eachother. I’ve done several events at my school to address these goals.
@lestrangeB If you can properly portray in your essays your goals and what you’ve done so far in that front (to break stereotypes, etc.) , then you’d be in good shape for your EC’s. To increase your chances significantly, definitely retake the ACT, try to shoot for 33+.
