Whats the acceptance rate and likely hood to get accepted into Wisconsin OOS

?

Lots of info on UW board, go over there and read a few cycles of decision threads. While the acceptance rate overall is 50%, there are lots of well qualified OOS students who do not get in. As a UW parent who has watched a few admission cycles, an OOS student with a 3.7 unweighted, good course rigor, and 30+ ACT will find UW a match, but not safety.

i have 3.6 GPA unweighted in a very good public high school in Connecticut. Weighted it is probably about 3.8. I got a
30 on my ACT. I also have a very high interest in sports and athletics. I got a 3.24 freshman year. Then a 3.52 sophmore and a 4.0 junior year. I have take 4 honors classes.

My extra curricular activities consist of

Tennis (high school, captain, 2 time state and division champs, usta tournaments (made it to 60 in new england), usta team tennis)

Buddy tennis which is helping disabled children to learn a sport and mostly have a good time

A couple of runs for diseases such as cancer, leukemia, athsma, etc.

Counselor in training at Nike Tennis camps
5.President of Korea club south (just a random club for fun)

I have a sports blog on facebook and a sports instagram page with over 3500 followers

180 hours of community service in africa

Helped renovate an old history site in my town
9 Book Club

Worked part time at my racket club

Recieved the english award for my grade

Creator of foursquare club in my school

Creator of sports talk club

Creator of Billionaires club

Based on this…do u think i have a good shot? @Midwestmomofboys‌

Sounds good – pay attention to the UW essays, don’t blow them off – do your research and have intelligent things to say. The upward trend, especially (I am thinking you are male?) is a fairly standard trend for guys, so stay strong!
