Anyone know? April 1?

Yep. April 1.

Are they just sent via snail mail, or are they sent by email too/posted online?

Regular mail if you're a domestic student. Swat's pretty old-school about sending decisions. :]

They said 12-15 for ED notifications and almost everybody seemed to get her letter by the 12th or 13th or so...it seems possible that this might happen for RD also?

Did the people who are saying that the release date is April 1 call and receive this answer because like treesnogger I heard that the date is earlier than April 1.

The reason that people get mail earlier for ED is because they mail them all out at the same time (like the 11th of December, so that they'll reach, say, California by the 15th), but obviously those closer to Swat will get those letters earlier. Swat could very well send out their RD letters a few days before April 1st for the same reason, but it'll only be within a few days of the 1st regardless.

In the early write letter, it said that they send out all the other letters in late March, and we'll get the acceptance packet and our financial aid stuff in late March, so I'm sure that everyone will know whether they're accepted or rejected in before April 1.

Mm, no, I live in California and I got my ED notification on the 12th--they mailed it 5 days early. So it was more than just looking out for west-coasters.

Internationals get letters too, and they can take more than a few days to get out...in either case, you'll probably know by April 1st is what they seem to say. The exact date can't really be predicted for everyone, depending on where you live and when they decide to send them.
