How much money do you have available to pay for your education?

If you and your parents have not yet run a FAFSA EFC calculator, you need to do so. There is a very good one at [College Calculators - savings calculators - college costs, loans](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>Calculate Your Cost – BigFuture | College Board) Estimating your family EFC for private institutions that use the CSS Profile is harder because each place uses different variables. Once you know your EFC, ask your parents whether they can pay that much money each year or not. If they can pay that much, ask how much more they can pay. If they can’t pay that much, find out just exactly how much they are able and willing to pay. Until you know the answer to your own personal money question, most of the other questions you can dream up are moot.
