venti coconut creme served by a hot barista :D

hehe tlaktan
you all need to come to Chicago :)

iced caramel mochiatto or a java chip frap

oh MY....some1 just turned Candy Shop in to Cofee Shop...that has to be one of the funniest things I've ever read on a CC thread

lemme add to it :p...i can't resist

"have it your way, how do you want it? You gon' ice that thing up or put caramel on it? Temperature rise, OK, let's go to the next level, add some milk and expresso and heat it up in a tea kettle."....ok i'm DONE

sarorah:

Try the Daily Grind. (Are there those near you? The nearest Starbucks is about an hour from me, but we have a Daily Grind in town.)

If not, get some ground Starbucks coffee. Kroger has them in little packages (I like Venona). Then, get a Bodum coffee press and follow instructions. Once the coffee is done, add chocolate, hazelnut syrup, a lot of milk, and some whipped cream. Trust me, it's fabulous.

Why thank you ariesathena! We don't have a Daily Grind or a Dunkin Donuts or Lamar's or any of those nice breakfast shops. So I'm really going to try your idea, it sounds really good. Thanks :)

No Daily Grind?!?! And I thought that I was in rural VA!

The Starbuck's come in either 1 lb bags, 1/2 lb bags, or in "Explorations," which is a brown box with three small bags in it. Ground coffee only lasts for about a week when the bag has been opened - so, if you don't have a food processor or bean grinder, go for the little bags in the Explorations box (or freeze them).

HAH...you think you're in rural VA???...check out my hometown in SWVa...we're lucky to have cofee machines in Wal Mart

? If you're at UVA, you're in C-ville - which is a LOT more urban than where I am.

I am in your area - generally - not sure exactly where you are. Are you near Tazewell or Abington? More towards Blacksburg (at which point, I don't want to hear it - there's Au Bon Pain there!) or Roanoke? Or Chatham? Lynchburg?

Hey!! Oh my, I live in Bluefield, VA, in Tazewell County!! 3rd largest Walmart in the East Coast. That's the only thing we're proud of, lol.

Oh and there was also an article in Times magazine (March 2005 edition) about Tazewell County and the prominent drug use, and all of these people got mad. But it was pretty cool because I thought we lived in a nowhere county and no one really knew or cared about Tazewell.

I really did think this girl (baggins) and I were the only ones on CC from such a rural place in VA! Your location sounds like my location, ariesathena. :)

We play Abington and Blacksburg and all of these other schools in our games too. This is so cool.
And I think I might try the "Explorations", with 3 different coffee flavors right? There is a coffee machine in our Walmart too, but I've never really looked at it. I think there is a whole aisle actually, devoted to coffee.

if you do go to starbucks take it from a seattle girl the best starbucks drinks are carmel frappacinos if its hot outside and a carmel macciato if its cold out!!! by the way i might live in seattle but i can't spell those drinks so no attacking me!
lol

I'm from Bluefield lol..I'm at Tech right now but i'll be at UVa in the fall :)

WOW...another bluefielder :p...this is fun

there's a starbux in blacksburg...and c-ville

YES! This is seriously so cool. Did you go to Graham or Bluefield High? Or neither?

Graham.......'04!

I don't mind blacksburg....just bluefield...literally nothing there!

I'm in Graham too!! I swear this is the coolest thing. I'm a sophomore now. I'm trying to figure out who you are :p

Whoa - weird that you two are from the same place!

I read about Tazewell in that March Time. :) I'm north of you guys - not near anything besides cows, though. I stopped by Abington to go to the Martha Washington Inn - phenomenal food!

There is a Starbucks in Lynchburg (actually, two of them: one in Barnes and Noble and a regular one) and a Barnes & Noble with Starbucks in Roanoke. Take the 143 exit to I-581. 581 will turn into 220. Follow for a few miles until you see the 220/Franklin Road/A few other roads exit (actually the second "Franklin Road" exit - the one before it says "to Franklin Road:). When you get off the ramp, take a right into Tanglewood, and B&N is there. Open until 10 M-Sat and until 9 on Sundays.

The Walmart near us is small. It's a super-Walmart, but is tiny - just a row of shelves for the groceries (front to back of store) and then the Walmart. The one in Roanoke is much bigger.

Nahrafsfa - if you are in Blacksburg, I don't want to hear it! It's a freakin' metropolis compared to where I am! In fact, it and C-ville ar the biggest cities until you hit DC. Grrrr!

Oh, the Starbucks Explorations thing. Kroger has them - they are $3.99 each. They come in a brown box. I have a coffee press (which you might be able to get at Kroger, certainly at Walmart, and, if all else fails, B&N has them), so I just brew the coffee in that, pour it out, and then add flavourings. It's my Starbucks-substitute - seriously developed a Starbucks addiction since I moved down here. :( Boston girl that I am, I miss Dunkin Donuts, too.

Maybe we could go somewhere and just eat a bunch of caramels. When you think about it, it's just as arbitrary as drinking coffee.

sarorah.....think about the very few brown kids at Graham...Mariam's my sis ...you should know who i am if you have any idea who that is :p

oh man Blaxburg is just as bad as bluefield...it's bluefield with good food and more ppl...and it's a lil bit cleaner....other than that it's hell....no clubs...just bars...infact Bluefield's mall is bigger than Christiansburg's!...C-burg just has an Aeropostale so that makes it better :p

You think Blacksburg is bad - but it has Starbucks and Au Bon Pain and... and... and... PEOPLE... and STUFF. My little hamlet of 7,000 has nothing. Nada. Just cows and scenery.
