What's the closest major there is to chemistry?

I’m a transfer student and I was wondering if there’s any major out there related to chemistry. I’m considering changing to biology.

Please I need suggestions

Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Materials Engineering, and Agronomy are all degrees that can use chemistry depending on what you do within the field. What’s wrong with being a chemist?

Chemical engineering another obvious major related to chemistry.

How are your classes at SUNY Albany going? Do you just not like chemistry or are you struggling?

If I remember correctly, you just started your 4th year of college and you’re a junior, right? If so, after this year you only have 2 years of federal aid left and I think you have a similar time limit on the tuition grant you get from your dad’s college. Changing majors usually adds time to the length of the degree, so you may want to ask your college adviser to help you find a major that won’t add too much time to your studies.

Changed my major to Biology with Math and Chemistry as Minor.

Have you considered switching back to meteorology? You said the reason you changed your major to Chemsitry because that was your true love and that doing a Chemsitry minor with meteorology would not work out. Have you considered just doing a meteorology major and then doing something chemistry related in graduate school?

By the way, you told me that your doing mostly well in math but, how is physics going?

@SuperGeo5999 I was thinking about going back to meteorology major, but I had to take physics online which is calculus based physics. Unfortunately, things changed and I ended up taking physics which is algebra based instead. If I had the chance to take calc based I would definitely have switched to meteorology and do a minor in chemistry.

I’m planning on doing my masters in oceanography or environmental chemistry and finally get my PhD to study Atmospheric chemistry or meteorology.

I needed the calculus based physics to start my first meteorology courses.
