What's the deal with special receptions?

I keep seeing threads for special area receptions: Connecticut, New York, Philadelphia… What are these receptions, and how does one find out about them? We are in SoCal, and DS is enrolled at UA for 2014. We’d love to attend a local event!

Maybe try shooting your local recruiter an email to find out what’s offered in your area? I’ve always gotten a response when I contacted ours.

And here’s an email address: receptions@ua.edu

You need to contact your local recruiter to find out what is scheduled for your area. Some recruiters put the dates on their websites, some don’t.

Don’t use the “contact” link on the recruiter’s site. Those often don’t get to the recruiter. Instead, go to Directories and put the name in and get their direct email address.

Thank you!

I already received a response from our area recruiter. SoCal residents, mark your calendars:
