What's the point of pears?

My ratings are a cross between Forbes and the Princeton Review.

^^Why is pear at the top and bananas at the bottom? I was thinking the bottom be like tomato or dried fruits?

^ Yeah prunes are definitely worse than bananas or pears

Grapefruit and mangoes should be pretty high up there.

If you tried an Asian pear you might have a different opinion. I can’t stand regular pears but I actually prefer the Asian varieties over even apples now. A thin skin and excellent, juicy crunch. Round (not classic “pear”) shaped. I’d never before thought I could use the word “crunch” as a pear descriptor. Until now.

Actually, I feel like most grapefruits are kind of bitter, so I just dab it in some splenda or sugar. I do that with a lot of the bland fruits (like small, crimson strawberries), even though it’s totally cancelling out the benefits of the nutrients.

I don’t care what any of you say, DRAGON FRUIT = #1

Eating a dragon fruit literally sends each and every one of your tastebuds into an orgasm that could make an elephant fall to its knees.

You seriously brah? Pears are so JUICY and sweet. They’re also more tender than apples. Braces-friendly.

This might sound weird, but pear chunks actually taste good in salad, or in a chutney in a turkey burger (my sister once made the turkey burgers that oprah once recommended from donald trump’s restaurant. They were aMaZiNg)

^^^ I saw a dragon fruit once, and I was like “Is this real life?”

Also, whoever put avocados at the top, I agree with you 101%

Avocados are hardly even fruit. I suggest a list as follows:

Peach

Watermelon

Mango

Kiwi

Strawberry

Red apples

Bananas

Lemons/Limes

Pears

Orange/clementine/tangerine

Raspberries

Blackberries

Green Apples

Blueberries

Cranberries
…

Avocados
…

Tomatoes
…

Pomegranate

These ratings will now be accepted as the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I left out dragon fruit as its availability per consumer is not high enough to merit it a place on my rankings.

Oh yeah… raw cranberries… mmmmmm.

I motion to disregard dfree’s rankings, as anyone who would place pomegranates last has clearly suffered some sort of extensive cranial trauma.

They taste like a bitter mix of cranberries and seeds. Their awful taste outweighs their health benefits, which already have little value in my rankings. Motion declined.

I’m obsessed with fruit. I think strawberries and watermelon are too boring. My rankings:

1- pomergranate
2- champagne grapes
3- clementine/tangerine
4- raspberries
5- mangos
6- peaches
7- clementine/tangerine
8- bananas
9- pears
10- blue berries

Champagne grapes would be my #1 if they were ever in season. They’re only sold for like one week in a year where I live. Waaah. Pomergranate is amazing because I buy the already peeled(?) ones so I don’t have to go through the annoyance of getting the seeds out of that magnificent fruit.

Go take your worthless rankings somewhere else. You don’t even have mangos in the top 5, and you have mango in your name. What a disgrace.

Oops repeated clementine/tangerines. Input black berries.

I like kiwi but if I suck on it then it burns the taste buds on my younger and my younger starts to bleed (eek!) very acidic?

Mango is the name of my pet bird. And he is named mango because he is red, yellow, orange, and green like a mango.

My list is no more useless than yours.

I FORGOT POMEGRANATE! I need to get on this whole fruits thing. It’s been too long since I frequented a farmers’ market.

We need to come to a compromise, dfree. How about…
