Then make it 50%. Why limit it to ~10%? I am not really complaining about it. I have no personal stake in the Ivy League.
@WISdad23 I shed light on your question from the Indian context. The government and the private universities here have NO LOVE for allowing American institutions to set up shop in India. There are almost insurmountable odds as well as restrictions that make it very undesirable to do so.
@WISdad23, why would they do that? The American elites still want to stay mostly American.
Heck, Harvard has stated that, even though they want to get the best from everywhere, they still want to be known as a New England and Boston school, with disproportionately high representation from New England and Boston.
