What is the acceptance rate for out of state applicants and international applications?
do you believe that UC is doing the right decision by allowing more non-California residents to attend UC Berkeley or any UC?

I’m an international student, and I think it’s around 10-15% but they raised it this year.

IMHO, it’s not a question of right or wrong, but the system simply needs a cash injection. Simple as that.

I remember 3000 international students were accepted and then I’m sure someone knows how many freshman were accepted (or others). I think it’s like 10,000 but idk?

IDK where everyone is getting their stats from but according to this:
http://www.ucop.edu/news/factsheets/2010/fall_2010_admissions_table_7.pdf

Intl admissions increased from ~6% to 8%, OOS increased from 8% to 18.5% this year as compared to 2009.

It’s 6%-8%? REALLY??!

Wow, guess I just have some smart friends haha.

edit: Sorry, but I think we both misread the chart. That’s the makeup of our student body, not the acceptance rates.

Okay, comparing with international pool alone, 15.7% of all international applicants were accepted - 6805 applications, 1070 admissions. 8% is if you compare intl admissions to the total admissions number. My bad! Haha.
