<p>It shows nothing but "Service Unavailable" when I click on any link to the application page. Deadline's tomorrow and today it is broken.</p>
<p>Yeah... I have been fine until the past 10 minutes or so... I was working on my App (which was going EXTREMELY slow), and when I tried going to the next page, it gave me the same error message. More than likely, it is due to the large amount of people who are also attempting to complete their applications at the same time since they are due tomorrow.</p>
<p>Gosh, they should have expected this kind of overload and prepared for it.</p>
<p>Just be patient. My son got that message about an hour ago. He waited a half hour, tried again, and the website worked fine. I suspect that the evening is the slowest time, because so many people are logged in. Perhaps later on tonight or early tomorrow morning might be an easier time to get through. (He is no longer logged in, however, so that should free up a little cyberspace for you.)</p>
<p>Yeah... I am basically done, so I am not freaking out too much. I just hope I didn't lose everything I just did.</p>
<p>It is working for me now, just way slower than before...</p>

<p>I believe that's right, but please don't wait till anywhere close to that to submit your application, because the website will surely be slow then. Also, there's warning on the payment page that if your payment information doesn't go through, you'll have to wait 30 minutes for them to reset your payment status before you can try again. You don't want to get that message at 11:59!</p>
<p>I've tried the site several times today to ck the status of s's application (as the app fee hasn't hit my creditcard account) and I cant get on.</p>
<p>When did your S apply, jym626? Mine applied on Oct 31st, and the $70 showed up on my online credit card statement November 1st. I hope your payment went through.</p>
<p>Edit: I just tried to log into the UNC admissions website, and I couldn't even get to the log in prompt. I do recall there was going to be some site maintenance on November 4th, so perhaps that's what's going on now.</p>

Finally got onto the website- it says his application was received (he submitted it on Oct. 30) and I have a confirmation # for the charge, but it isnt showing up on my account yet. The other app. he sent in that night is showing up on my card. The UNC website says their creditcard thing is down right now- I guess I dont mind that it isnt on my card, but it'd like to know for sure that all is in. We used Discovercard and some places dont take it, so maybe thats an issue. Will check again during the week.</p>
<p>I'm sure since you have confirmations of their receipt of the application and the charge that everything is fine. I definitely understand your quest for peace of mind knowing that all is in order.</p>

<p>That's a relief and one less thing to worry about. Since you had the receipts, I'm sure you could have straightened it out, but it's nice not to have to worry about spending half a day on the phone with admissions trying to get things straight.</p>

<p>Anybody having trouble with website today? Son is home and working on a paper and can't get in to get to library database--not even his email is working.</p>
