I was 1st out of 89 at my old school. 1st out of 350ish at the new one.

Top decile (10%). My school got rid of ranking and just used deciles. There’s still val/sal though.

My school doesn’t rank and doesn’t have val/sal.

11 out of 452

1 out of 252.

1 out of 400.

I knew I should’ve been expecting this, but… crawling into a hole and hibernating 'til death seems like the appropriate reaction to this whole thread.

I was 1 out of 220, many years ago. But the two smartest kids graduated early, so I kind of lucked out. Also, there were other kids smarter than I was who weren’t as anal as I was about getting perfect grades. So it’s neat to be able to say I was val, but it’s not as impressive as you’d think.

3 out of 381. Aiming for sal by the end of the year. Top 1% though!

1/346 …

4/600. It will probably stay there assuming i get straight As.

My school doesn’t rank. Only 5%iles. But my gc said I’m in running for Val/sal. I have a 3.9 something UW, and a 4.44/ 4.5 W (for some reason honors=AP).

Top 10% basically…

11/400
I’ve been stuck here since last year. Last year, approximately 12 people (including myself) would have been tied at number 2. However, I’ve taken 3 and a half more credits than my classmates (marching band and symphony orchestra after school), so when my GPA is calculated, it’s automatically lower than someone who took the same number of AP classes as me and received the same exact grades. I know it’s slightly pathetic to complain about this, but I figure if any group of high schoolers would understand, it would be those on this forum. ^.^ Basically, I just want the free food! And a free pass out of some classes! My school hosts this whole lunch thing for the “top 10,” and it sucks to be so close, yet so far, for the third year in a row…!

1/568 aww yeahh

Anyone else go to an exclusively IB school…?
75/180 in the IB seniors of my school =3= Damn super smart classmates… OTL

1/~350. Been there since first semester freshman year.

Kannalala, I don’t go to an exclusively IB school, but my school really promotes a full IB course. We have about 28 sophomores enrolled in the full IB program, 14 juniors, and 7 seniors. It’s funny how about half of the students in the program are weeded out each year.

I’m a sophomore enrolled into the IB schedule, and I plan on immersing myself in full IB next year and my senior year. I’m hoping it will help me attain a top 3% rank by the end of this year, and a top 2% rank by the end of next. Like I said before, I’m 21/440ish right now, so I’m right at 5%.

How my rank has progressed over the years:

Freshman Year: 76/425
Sophomore Year: 72/415
Junior Year: 33/424

My goal is to be in the Top 20 by the end of this year (my senior year). Despite my current low rank, I’m proud of my improvement. I didn’t take school seriously at all my first two years, but I worked hard 11th grade and managed to sort of save myself from being auto-rejected from every great school in the country.

I was at 17/567 the last time I checked.
