<p>i know that there's been quite a few threads about life at UMass Amherst, but I never really got the big picture feeling of the area. I've visited the campus before I really like the general ambience. However, there were no students around the area when i visited cuz it was over last year's summer vacation. soooo, i was wondering if people could give me a general idea of what people's daily routine is like at UMass? How easy is it to make new friends when you start going there? What's the general population like? I'm from California so I'm kinda concerned about the whole social life aspect lol. thanks for your replies! :D</p>
