These are so very true statements. In freshman year I had Spanish II (we have A/B scheduling so one class takes an entire year…i don’t like it but that’s besides the point) and since half the class didn’t know anything from the prereq course we ended up spending half the year reiterating everything from Spanish I. -_____-
In my experience I’ve found that native Spanish speakers don’t make the best teachers. at all. it’s ironic, but that’s how it’s been for me. The only instructor who kept pace, allowed us to practice the language in different ways, and was overall actually very effective was a white lady.</p>
<p>How much I enjoy a course is directly related to the teaching methods, how well the teacher knows his stuff, and what font he uses.</p>
