"itchy torso and raychul, I did a Body Mass Index Calculation (used google, not much credibility) but you're both listed as underweight."

The BMI isn't a very accurate system...It doesn't know how large your frame is, how much of your weight is muscle/fat mass, etc. I am simply not physically capable of reaching a weight of over 100 pounds. I eat all the time (often over 3,000 calories a day) and don't gain any weight. I have a high metabolism and small bone structure. However, nobody would ever look at me and think that I'm too skinny. I still have plenty of hips, boobs, and thighs.

"Hilarious that you are one of the few girls in this thread who posted their real weight. I respect that.

Over 30 % of Americans are overweight. Based on the measurements of the females in this thread, you have to question whether people are being truthful about their weight. This is the internet - it's anonymous - why lie about your weight?"

I live in Denmark and I know that there isn't a single girl in my grade who weighs over 125 pounds--and the one who does also happens to be about 5'8". And I doubt many have actually lied about their weight. The ones who weigh less are just probably more comfortable with sharing their height/weight. I'm sure there are plenty of overweight CCers too.

I agree. I completely disagree with the BMI system. We calculated our BMI's earlier this year in math, and mine (16.5) was a lot lower than most people's, but I eat just as much (if not more). So much of it is genetics, and I come from a really light family (my sister, who is completely healthy, is 5'11 and 110lb). I also look no skinnier than people with a BMI of 18 or 19. It's just my body and how I carry weight.

Let's not start accusing people of weighing too little or too much.

I think I'm the only normal sized girl on here... you guys are all pretty small.

5'4'' and 135. I'm not skinny, and not fat either. I mean, sure, I could lose a bit here and there, but at the expense of giving up, for example, my grandmother's cooking, or killing myself in the gym every day? No way. I exercise moderately, I eat normally. It's a good balance.

BMI isn't good if a person is exceptionally tall or short. If your tall, your BMI is overstated. If you're short, your BMI is understated.

Take MLB pitcher Randy Johnson for example. No one is going to say he's fat. He actually is very lanky. However, when you compute his BMI, it comes out to be 24.0, which is almost overweight. He's 6'10, 230 lbs by the way.

If anyone is interested, here is a link to a good BMI calculator. My BMI is 20.3 (6'1", 154 lbs).

okay this is for about 2 pages back but really tall girls are more graceful by nature, ever heard of a midget supermodel? eh no! if I hit 5'3" then I want no more from life... except a good job, and good college, and a good pay. and a good life, okay nevermind

short girls are FOINE!!
yeah that was massively, incredibly lame lol :D

it's all about how you carry the weight too.... i don't know what constitutes as thick legs though. however, i think that at a 24in waist and 19.5 circumference at the thickest point of my thighs would constitute me as fat lol

I've learned to embrace my short-ness.
Sure its annoying when people make the occasional joke.
And I really need to learn how to hem my own pants.
but I think being petite can be dainty and cute, and you can pull off the I'm-so-adorable-don't-you-love-me? look. haha

But I always seem to fall for tall guys. :/

Yeah, the dainty and cute thing doesn't work so well for guys...

Thankfully, I appear to be growing like a weed, so I shouldn't stay short too much longer (I'm 5'3" right now). I'm hoping for 5'10" (a guy can dream, I guess).

The bigger issue for me is I weigh 86 lbs and haven't gained any weight since last summer. It's because I have no muscle mass at all (girls five inches shorter than me could beat me up). I need to work out or something.
