Yeah, I saw that. Was there anyone else here who is? I didn't notice anyone else, it seems like most CCers are introverts...

We took the Myers-Briggs test today in Psych, which is why this was resurrected.

INFJ- Makes sense because this is normally the type pollitical activists get
and I am into activism and that sort of thing

ENTJ here. seems pretty much like my personality

INTJ- It seems fitting, the description pretty much described me exactly

ENFJ- but i'm not sure if i agree

I am an INTJ.

INTJ Here too.

ENTP

But probably now it's more like... INTP

I'm a hardcore INTP at heart, but I'm slowly becoming an INTJ... :D

This person seems to explain my feelings well.

INTP, too. I found a very detailed description that hit so many characteristics and patterns spot-on, it was painful.

Apparently, INTP:s get along well together and only constitute 1% of the population. Maybe you guys are all the friends I never had! (Do you also keep making friends, then just let them drift away for inexplicable reasons?)

urgh, I think all of my remaining friends come from College Confidential (with a couple of others from other forums). Somehow I've drifted away from everyone else. I'd like to make friends if only I didn't have to spend so much time on introductions. Oftentimes it's highly rewarding for someone to recognize your interests and to pass along highly relevant literature in accordance to your interests.

I always make interest-based friendships. My primary interests actually lie in the quantitative biological and social sciences (however, for now I realize that math and statistics are the most important fields to study - the other majors are fluff majors where the vast majority of students don't care about research). I also think that theoretical microeconomics, neurobiology, and evolutionary psychology can help enlighten a lot of the social science fields in the future. I have a nice book called "Chaos Theory in the Social Sciences"

My problem seems to be more that I get episodes where I just don't feel in the mood to socialize - and the moment someone approaches me about doing something, I lose interest because I didn't make that decision in my mind before they suggested it (I know, it sounds very anal). I also just get freaked out by the relations that develop (my friends tend to be of the opposite sex so it's even more complicated), and I'd rather not get in the smack-dab of a lot of emotion from the other side.

I don't know, I feel reading the decription of INTP:s highlighted a lot of relational problems I've had, but been unsure of the cause of. I really want to be more competent in that area (hahahaha, wasn't that a trait too?). It's a little eery how accurate that profile was.

It says I'm INFJ. Apparently less than 2 percent of the population? What's the most common?

Your Type is
INTJ
Introverted: 89%
Intuitive: 25%
Thinking: 88%
Judging: 89%

INTP actually explains my attitudes towards academic subjects in general. I dislike school and I dislike formal education - but I'm passionate towards self-studying. I'm also theoretical and don't like to get caught up in convictions.

On the other hand - it cannot explain that while I judge my values based purely on thoughts - emotions do affect my day to day actions (and quite significantly) - they just don't value my way of thinking. Socially though - I like to mess around - but otherwise I hate superficial connections

Something that's funny is that someone adopted me as his confidant and pretty much distils all of his academic plans to me and asks me for advice and such. And I often get tired of talking - but still go on for politeness. Sometimes I then get more energetic and say something that satisfies him, heh

Yep, have the self-study experience too. Nearly dropped out of highschool because of it. I feel formal education is based on a specific system, specific ideas, and just can't bring myself to fully accept any of them as valid enough to respect the institution.

**** this, I'm making an INTP thread. Join the pseudo-psych fest.

I am an INTJ, according to a free online test, and this is the first time I'm hearing of the Myers-Briggs Personality Types.

However, reading up on Wikipedia, I believe I'm more of an INTP.

ENTJ.

I'm hugely T, strongly N, and relatively even E v. I and J v. P.

INTJ.
