But seriously, Andover (I think) fits me the best in its atmosphere and aims, and after checking out the student feedback on the website I was hooked. Still I'm not sure if I'm talented or lucky enough to be accepted there (though talent isn't everything.) I've been so excited at the thought of having a chance that I can barely sleep at night, and am still trying to get myself to stop thinking about it so much, so it won't be as painful if I do not get in (preparing for the prospect of rejection.)

Anyway, what's your top choice school, and what makes it your dream school? :)

But for me, Hotchkiss. Even from the website, there was this spark. That sounds silly but it has almost everything I’m looking for in a boarding school, the classes I want to take, most of the sports, and the atmosphere seems perfect for me.

Simultaneously, I’m trying really hard not get my hopes up because the disappointment will only be a zillion times worse if I’m rejected.

I LOVED choate from the website, but when I took the tour, I no longer felt the spark. Once you take your tour on campus you will feel that you FIT there. Exeter, Hotchkiss, and Deerfield, all had this feeling for me, even though I looked Andover’s view-book and website more… I got into Andover and Exeter and made my decision after revisits.

I would feel comfortable attending any of the boarding schools I am applying to. They are all a billion times better than my public high school. So I don’t really have a top choice.

Cutie is right. I was lucky to do some drive byes before official visits. In doing this I knocked a few off the list. I found one school in NH to feel large & lonely. Another school in Andover felt like a college campus. Both very nice but I couldn’t feel the vibe. This made me reevaluate my needs. I`m now looking at schools w/populations under 600 and narrowing them down.
I walked on the campuses of Msex and Groton and they felt just right.

Middlesex or Exeter. I liked the feeling of Middlesex. I’ve already toured. And Exeter seems awesome. But Hogwarts would be the best BS ever hahaha

my opinion keeps flip-flopping so idk anymore problem is, i won’t get to visit (according to Dear Mother, anyway) so i’ll have to survive through viewbooks and… skype interviews
