When can I see/pay my housing bill for fall?

Hello, helpful UT people! I will be living (Andrews!) and eating on campus next year, and I want to pay my housing bill and have my Dine In Dollars and BevoBucks set up as soon as possible. My mom is paranoid that when I arrive with all my stuff in a couple of weeks, they'll tell me that I failed to pay and will be spending my first semester in a custodial closet in Jester.

But at the moment on the My Housing page (<a href="https://utdirect.utexas.edu/hfis/index.WBX%5B/url%5D">https://utdirect.utexas.edu/hfis/index.WBX</a>), the spaces for Dine In Dollars, BevoBucks, and Current Housing Balance are all at $0.00 -- meaning that I have nothing and owe nothing.

Poking around on various UT pages makes me think that 1) I won't find out what I owe until "mid-August" and so won't be able to pay it until then and that 2) I don't need to pay any part of my housing bill until October 1 anyway.

Can anyone with UT housing experience confirm when housing bills become visible and payable? And do I ask for Dine In Dollars and BevoBucks separately, or are they included in that bill? (I saw online at Division of Housing and Food Service - Meal Plan that student residents automatically get 1400 Dine In Dollars and 300 BevoBucks.)

Thank you so much for your help!

Tell your Mom to relax!!! (I’m a Mom, so I can say that). The bill will show up soon, it will have an itemized list including Bevo Bucks and Dine-In Dollars, and also whatever resnet level you signed up for. It will show up before you get to Austin, so Mom can be sure that you won’t starve! The payment is really not due until Oct. 1st. I know that seems a little weird being so late, but that’s the way it works. If it makes your Mom feel any better, 2nd semester bills are due sooner, on Feb 1st! Have fun!

Thank you – I really appreciate the information!

As soon as you check in, you are instantly given the Bevo Bucks and Dine in Dollars. The bill is also created when you check in. And you are correct about not having to pay until October 1st, although you can pay any time after you check in up to that date.
