Hey again guys! So, I have a few questions regarding CLEP tests. First of all, when can I take them? Are they available to take during the summer, during college, etc. Also, are you able to take them whenever you want at the test centers, or does each test center have a specific date they can set up CLEP tests? And do they set up specific days for different subjects or will all the test takers there be taking different tests? Lastly, I also know which CLEP tests my college accepts, but do they also have a deadline of when they can accept them? Thanks in advance for anyone who answers back!!!
Have you looked here? https://clep.collegeboard.org/exam
Yeah, but it doesn’t give me any specific information about when I can take the CLEP tests.
You schedule the test at your local testing center. They are given anytime, yr round. Ours requires a 1 week time between registering and testing time.
Awesome!! Thanks for answering back!
Each testing center may be different, but a quick phone call will answer your question. We just paid for the test online then called the testing center to register, and my son was able to get in as early as the next day. He scheduled a time that worked for him and went in, paid the test center fee (seperate from the test fee, and at the center we used, it had to be in cash,) and took the test.
His school clearly stated which tests they accepted, which classes he would receive credit for, and what scores he would need. They also said they only accepted tests taken before the student began as a student there unless special permission was granted, so he took them all the summer after he graduated. He took 2 English and a history test, spent just a couple hours at most prepping for each one, and earned 9 credits for just a few hundred dollars, it was a great deal!
