When do college apps come out?

usually around what time can you start working on college apps?

are you graduating in 08'

I'm pretty sure I was able to begin working on all of my apps by the end of August. In addition, the commonapp basically never changes, so if you know that some/all of your schools take it, you could start today.

Yeah, from mid-August to early September, news apps begin to show up. It helps, sometimes, to look at previous apps as they may not change that much. And even if they change, no deal.

Start working on essays during the summer. You don't need to have a specific topic to get started. Just look at some topics from old apps.

For some of the state schools, you can apply online beginning August 1st.

I agree now is the time to start working on your essays, or at least start thinking about topics. Don't wait until you have to submit the app to write the essay. You might want to have somebody (or several people) review and critique it for you. And remember; some schools will want you to write several essays.

The common app comes out mid-July, check out its website. The real only differences with it are which schools accept it.
