Checking back in to say that once Ds portal updated with the acceptance, there was a link to merit award…she received the presidential award…$8k a year renewable. Awesome!
For people waiting…she received yellow envelope first, then couple days later portal updated with financial award. Hope it helps and good luck!
@jrossi266 We have some family friends that live in Holmdel. Good luck. Yes…the 4hr drive will stink. But, I have noticed with my older daughter. If they are happy. They won’t want to come home much. Thankfully, at both UDel and PSU we know other people in our town who go there. So we can always carpool with them.
@newyorksports98 - My D got that yesterday as well but she said it kept repeating and she didn’t understand what they were saying. She hasn’t sent in her application, but did have a recent interview with an admissions rep.
@newyorksports98 I don’t think its positive or negative. They are just following up on the interview since you didn’t apply. Curious as to why someone would come for an interview and not apply. It’s like when you get a quote for insurance. Afterwards, they keep calling to see if you need it.
Called UD admissions today and they said they were in the final step of reviewing my application. It’s been exactly 13 weeks since they received all of my materials so Idk if this is a good or bad sign
My son received an email on December 7th that his application was complete and ready for review. Does anyone know what kind of wait time he is looking at to hear a decision?
I think the website says 8-12 weeks from the complete date. Two years ago, my daughter received her acceptance right at 8 weeks. We are at about 5 weeks now for my son and hoping to hear before the new year.
I was accepted today. Instate, applied 10/20. Will hear about honors program by march. No scholarship info yet. Portal still hasn’t updated. Got acceptance packet today.

So excited! Delaware is one of my absolute favorite schools and places.
I applied in mid-October and everything was processed by the end of October, but I haven’t heard anything yet from UDel. It’s my top school, so I’m very anxious. I’m applying to nursing which I know if a bit more competitive than some of the other majors and I also did an interview in November, could either of those things affect when I will receive my decision? (I have a 4.3 GPA (weighted), 31 on the ACTs, and have taken 5 APs throughout high school) Now that I’m seeing that so many people have already received decisions I’m getting worried, should I be concerned?
i applied early because my grades aren’t exactly as high as the average for accepted applicants but i guess it doesnt matter if there reviewing the more qualified applicants regardless of when applications were sent in
My D was notified @ 9am today on her portal. Dk if the letter arrived in today’s mail, will find out later when she gets home from school. OOS, 28 ACT, 3.9 GPA, some APs, great EC’s
