<p>Hi guys, I'm from Canada and relatively new to CommonApp.
I'd like to begin my essays this summer, but I'm not sure when will the essay prompts be released.</p>
<p>Are the essay prompts the same every year? If not, when will they be released?</p>

<p>CommonApp opens August 1st, which will contain all the supplements for the colleges, along with the Personal Statement. The prompts for that are already available (Google CommonApp prompts) , and some universities such as UChicago have already sent out the prompts just for kids to start thinking about. But everything opens for submission Aug 1st.</p>
