When do UCs do transcript evaluations?

Hello,

I am an OOS transfer and was hoping one of you could help me out with a question as all advisors are apparently too busy to respond to e-mail or voicemail.

I have been accepted to quite a few schools, and unfortunately due to certain circumstances, need to make a decision sooner rather than later.

However, I am worried that if I choose to attend one of the UCs, they will not accept a lot of my classes I have completed (Calculus I,II,III, ODE, several engineering classes, etc).

If this is the case, I would rather attend a different University that will accept these classes so I will not have to retake them.

Can anyone shine any light on the situation?

Thank you very much

It’s true. You don’t get a definitive answer until after acceptance.

@Bless95 For most UCs, they require certain prereqs for transfer (especially for engineering majors). If you’ve already been accepted, it’s most likely because they have decided the courses you’ve taken are equivalent. Math is usually the same everywhere (and, I presume, generally accepted if you went to an accredited university). Engineering classes are more tricky (in terms of transferring). That being said, there are always exceptions and no one knows for sure which classes will transfer/be accepted except for the counselors at those UCs (and some UCs will accept some engineering classes that other UCs won’t).

I tend to agree with @cloud7.
