<p>Like the title says.... When do we hear back from Rutgers on our roommates and schedule for the new year?</p>
<p>I’m a transfer and I was told I’ll find out the first week of August.</p>

<p>Do freshmen get to pick their classes? Or does Rutgers automatically create a schedule for freshmen based on preferences?</p>
<p>Freshmen got to pick their classes at the APA day.</p>
<p>My son got to pick his classes on APA day, but his advisor did the final scheduling. He had to pick alternates for some classes in case his first choice was full. He did not get all his first choices but he was happy with his schedule.</p>
<p>We did not have an APA day in the Engineering school. I mailed out a sheet to pick my elective and they mailed me back a schedule in mid August. If you’re enrolled in any of the other schools I’d assume you had an APA day already.</p>
<p>You’ll find out about housing in mid August. The information got “leaked” online last year in the beginning of August, and then they kept postponing the official release. I didn’t find out about my roommate until housing was officially released.</p>
<p>Last year freshman housing was released on a friday after offices closed so no one could call and complain about their room assignments until Monday. I don’t remember if it was the first or second friday.</p>
<p>^ So many people used facebook to vent though! After housing was released, I got at least 3 fb messages from random people who asked if I wanted to swap with them. Then in the beginning of the fall semester I got another message. People can be desperate lol.</p>
