Is there a way to check my application status on the Wellesley Website? I've been looking around and didn't find one. Anyways, does anyone know when we get our decision letters? By mail or email?

Last year the letters were received around March 22 or 23 I think. Well it was the equivalent of this Tuesday.

Anyone want to call for us and find out? Someone whom it wouldn't be long-distance for?

Hey, calico, I got an email from wellesley and it said that wellesley will post my decision online. I don't know whether it does so to American students. because I am an international applicant, the email indicated that they didn't want to cause any delays in postal service.

Yeah, we've already determined that int'ls can check online while American students can not.

But if they mail all the letters at the same time, then domestic applicants should hear by the 25th or so (assuming the letters are mailed on the 24th).

I still think someone should call!

great! i'll be out of town for spring break on the 24th...and for an entire WEEK. OH no. the suspense will actually kill me

hi wellesers,

Don't know the answer for sure but if you like, here's the relevant bit from the email i got:

"We want you to know
that we will be mailing decision letters to overseas candidates on
Thursday, March 24, and will allow you to check your admission
decision via the web on Friday, March 25."

Yeah, we knew that already, but thanks anyway.

:p ack.

(10 chars needed)

basically, everyone should know by this friday.

How do you know that for sure?

When EE letters came out I got mine 4 days after most girls, and I live in Ohio!

did you guys receive a letter of acknowledgement saying ur application was complete?

i didn't, but i got an answer for early eval...so does that mean my app is complete?

Did they send out letters saying that the applications were complete?

Another question..... I recieved an email from a person in the financial aid office at Wellesley about a week ago. She wanted me to send in my 2004 tax returns and asked my dad a couple of questions about my fafsa (to clear up a few things. He's in the military and some of the answers confused them). Is that a good sign? I mean... would admissions decisions have been made by last week?

Thanks. I love this forum!!!

The financial aid info is a very good sign! They probably gave the finaid office a list of girls they were thinking about admitting.

Now I'm worried because I didn't get a call. I hope it's just because my finaid info is complete. At least I think it is...

If you got an EE letter, your app is complete. I just got a postcard 2 weeks after I sent in my app saying that they received it.

well, if int'ls are guaranteed their admission decision by friday, i think domestics would be too... but who knows what can happen with the postal service. lol.

Hmmm, yeah, I suppose so. A friend told me that she called the admissions office and they said they were mailing it out between today and Wednesday, so that makes sense. Good luck, everyone!

Between today and Wednesday? Can you elaborate? Does that mean that she wasn't sure when they would have them out, but it would be before Wednesday? Or are they doing them in batches like the EE letters?

Thanks so much for the info! I'm so glad someone finally called! :)

Yes thank you! :)

i wonder if they'll be sending rejections first...

Hm, that's an interesting concept. Rejections yesterday, waitlist today, acceptances Wednesday.

Or they could be doing the west coast yesterday, the midwest today, and the east coast tomorrow so that the letters all arrive at about the same time.

Well, whatever. We'll find out soon enough.
