<p>I'm wondering when outside scholarships get reported to schools... should they be done before a FA offer is made/admissions acceptance? Should they just be reported once the student has accepted admission? Do they need reported at all for this school year (2012-3)?</p>

<p>I might be wrong, but I think it depends on the school policy about outside scholarship. At some schools you can apply outside scholarship against EFC, while in others the outside scholarship is first applied against school’s financial aid. Also, some schools are need-blind and other schools are not (it will matter if you were not accepted to school yet, probably a moot point now). Hence, the policy will be different. You probably should contact your school about it.</p>
