When does your school year start?

<p>My previous school started on the 27th of August.</p>

<p>We got out on June 8 and will return on August… 25-ish, I’ve heard from someone. It typically falls on the Thursday between August 24 and 30.</p>

<p>Something unfair that I’ve noticed:</p>

<p>Some states (The Agricultural hubs of the US) used to start their schools in early August because they would take a month off to harvest. However, as time progressed, people no longer needed to leave school and harvest. Yet, such states still follow the “Farming Schedule” and start their schools in early August and end in June. Consequentially, those schools start an entire month before schools that do not follow this antiquated agrarian calendar - a difference that means a lot, considering that the whole of America takes the AP on the same date. Therefore, states and schools and follow this system get almost an extra month to prepare for those AP exams. </p>

<p>Ok, I’ll get off my soapbox now.
My school ends in June and begins Mid-September.</p>

<p>We got out on June 19th (without the October snow storm it would’ve been June 15th. We start on September 4th, even though we normally go back September 1st.</p>

<p>I start on the 30th. Of July. I’m crying so hard on the inside that I only have one more week to do my ap homework while everyone else here has three or four weeks.</p>
