<p>Some states (The Agricultural hubs of the US) used to start their schools in early August because they would take a month off to harvest. However, as time progressed, people no longer needed to leave school and harvest. Yet, such states still follow the “Farming Schedule” and start their schools in early August and end in June. Consequentially, those schools start an entire month before schools that do not follow this antiquated agrarian calendar - a difference that means a lot, considering that the whole of America takes the AP on the same date. Therefore, states and schools and follow this system get almost an extra month to prepare for those AP exams. </p>

<p>August 13th. But my district is poor, so we will be getting out of school four weeks earlier than we should this year. So next summer will be a month longer.</p>

<p>i think we go back September 4th or 5th. In michigan it’s illegal to start before labor day, however, i think most colleges start at the beginning of august here.</p>
