When & How Do We Hear?????

the invite says "for outstanding students in the entering class of 2006" -- pretty obvious.

This is crazy... There are a few posts every minute. XD How many of us are here?

It would be so ridiculously anticlimactic if Northwestern didn't release decisions today. >_> I also think it would be pretty disappointing... I mean, they have released decisions on the last Saturday in March for at least the past two years (Saturdays for ED, too)... Surely they realize that a lot of people know this and are really hoping for them today.

Accepted: Pitt, Rochester, USC CNTV, NYU Tisch (Saturday at the Square thing, so I guess it isn't official)
Waiting for: Northwestern, Columbia, Hopkins, Emory, Cal

Northwestern is usually my first choice, but it fluctuates.

Also, I think that even if they aren't here soon, they could come later tonight. Didn't someone say that they received their email at 8:something?

It's weird, but everyone I know has gotten into their school of choice, even if they're unbelievably competative schools. All my friends who applied to NYU got in, and my friends who applied to Ivies were accepted EA. I'm hoping not to break the streak by getting rejected by NU.

oh, ok. not sure about that one.

Hrm. Waiting for 15... :]

jeez im goign to my school play in like 3 hours, if they dont come by then, im going to be so ****ed off. and i dont want to be sincei heard it was good.

i haven't been on the nu board much -- mostly watching nyu (for my son), but now that he's in at nyu, nu's the next one up.

i'm a little worried about nyu because from looking at last year's acceptance stats, almost everyone took the SATII's, and he didn't.

seifo: I'm going to our local boys' school play in three hours, too, so i'm hoping that they're in by then.

what play are you going to see? i'm actually seeing a musical, damn yankees. i'm pretty excited.

whoa sphybrid 15? thats how many schools i applied to!

sorry - meant nu, not nyu (about SAT IIs)

Ugh. My email program has the subject separate from the sender, and I just received an email with the title "Decision Time." ... It ended up being from some scholarship site talking about what to do when you get your decisions. >_>

hey did they post decisions

did anyone not take SAT IIs?

edmondsg-I didn't take the SAT IIs, either.

Actually I took them but chose not to submit them. And my ACT score is a little below the northwestern average, so I'm definitely worried.

I know a lot of people who didn't take the SAT IIs who were admitted to Northwestern last year. I don't think the CC board is a fair representative of the average NU applicant, since everyone on here is well beyond the normal over avachiever....I think I just contradicted myself with that statement.

Don't worry about it, though. If he's meant to get in, he'll get in.

those were my thoughts, too. cc gets a large representation of high achievers that would choose to take SAT IIs, and i hope that's not expected of everyone.

The page count of this thread has doubled in the past half hour. That's hilarious.

my son's ACT and SAT are very good (33/2310), so hopefully the missing SAT IIs won't matter. ec's aren't as varied as they could be, though -- mostly music related, but lots of those.

Shirobot, I got the same email! And i started praying and stuff but it was stupid fastweb. Btw, how many of you believe that decisions will be released today?

yeah, this is a hot thread! gee, wonder why?!
