word up......

I guess I feel for them, too, but I also understand the applicants' frustration and why it could be directed at Northwestern. Applicants are tense enough already, and you (NU) have the application status page saying "mid-April" and the login page to that saying a vague "late March." Like someone said earlier, NU is surprisingly apathetic about the whole process, and while Ivies and other schools give days or even times (so it is possible to be specific), Northwestern gives approximations that conflict eachother.

That being said, I still love Northwestern (:D), but I understand why people are extremely tense, and I think the admissions office should, too.

Ah, oh well. Everybody will forget about this frustrating wait by this time tomorrow (hopefully.)

Yeah, hopefully.

I really hope we're not setting ourselves up for dissapointment. Watch the decisions not come out until Wednesday. What a bummer that would be.

i agree with the notion of Northwestern admission's apathy--not just about the decisions process. when i visited, the info session was by far the worst I'd seen. the woman had no personality and talked in circles instead of actually answering ?s. and i'm no fan of info sessions in general so that's saying something.

i agree about the info session. i usually don't mind them, but NU's was very, very boring, it was hot in there, and it wasn't all that informative. the tour and our tour guide were great, though.

I'm waiting for theater too ,stacey_ga.

is it possible to get into arts and sciences but not the particular school?

The good news is that decisions should be up by Wednesday at the latest. I doubt they'll want to have decisions up after all the Ivy League schools (Thursday).

The bad news is that this means they could be posted anywhere from now until Thursday 5 PM EST.

AHHHHH!!!!!! I just want to know already

I hope i get in, cause then NU is cool
If they reject me, theyre UNCOOL.

but in terms of assistance (through e-mail), they are by far the best

ugh i wish there was a definite time for decision releases.

Oh man, did anyone go to Discover NU Day? Talk about boring. It was only fun once we were matched up with our NU students. I stayed in Jones and wow, what a fun time. Plus, meeting a bunch of other overachieving yet totally apathetic students was great. But yeah, the info session there sucked. They said something about how they expect you to take hard classes and get all A's rather than take easy classes and get all A's and the whole room groaned. I was glad to know I wasn't the only one in that boat, haha.

stacey, my son applied for theatre, too.

Me 40 posts ago:
