<p>When does the class of '09 get to select courses? Is there someone that sits down with us, listens to our intentions, and helps us design a course of study so we can manage to fit all our courses in correctly because it gets very confusing with all the different reqs and prereqs and stipulations?</p>
<p>yeah i'm kinda curious about that as well. anyone want to explain the 'reading period' as well?</p>
<p>When I went on my interview my interviewer explained Reading periods as a time for students to study for exams (and since a lot of exams are paper...to write the papers). He said its like a free period for study.</p>
<p>Residential Advisors or the other Advisors will be the ones to sit down and look at your course choice and give it the OK. As to whether we'll be given much hand-holding and shown the way step by step, I'm not sure. I hope the academic support network is great, though.</p>
<p>Does that occur in the summer or once you arrive on campus?</p>
<p>Course selection occurs once you get to campus in September, after OA and CA.</p>
