So I got the list of books that I need and as everyone says they're much cheaper on amazon than at the college bookstore. I movein next Thursday and classes start the following Tuesday. When should I order them? I have amazon prime but many of the books aren't under the prime... So they won't arrive within two days correct? Thanks for any advice

A lot of people wait to order books because they want to first see the class syllabus since many professors may not even incorporate material from the textbook into the course – in which case, you might want to email your professors and ask if the book is required on the first day. If it isn’t, you can hold off a little bit and see if you really need it.

I already ordered my textbooks because I was able to find all of them for 70+% off on Amazon. I don’t have Prime so I don’t know if they’d fall under the 2 day shipping but I was told that the latest they’d arrive would be September 3rd, the day after my first day of class. I placed that order on Monday and they’ve all been shipped; so if you were to order them now and use Standard Shipping, they’d arrive between the 20th and the 5th most likely.

If you want to rent or buy used, you need to order the books early since they are popular and may not be available on the first day of classes. You might also want to consider etextbooks which are much cheaper and price.

My calluses start the 25th and my schedule is still not complete so I am not able to order all of them. Just some

If you’re looking at the used books on Amazon, there are often still used offers with Prime. If you check the box labeled “Show Prime Offers Only” right above the listings, it’ll often bring some up. It doesn’t all the time, but it’s worth at least checking out.

I typically buy the books before classes start. I’m about to start my third year, and in the first two years I’ve only really had three classes that didn’t use the book. A lot of people wait until after the first day though. Just keep in mind that you’ve gotta wait for shipping if you go that route. Especially when buying used, it can sometimes take a while to arrive.

*classes

You mean you don’t have your calluses on a schedule? :p

Nope… Just a few on my feet lol if that ;
