So far, I've met up with a few reps at my school (WashU, Columbia, JHU), and since not many students in my class look into private schools, it becomes sort of a one on one interview/ conversation.

First, I just wanted to ask, do these reps have a say in your admission? If so, what should one do to stand out?

I usually research beforehand and ask some things that aren't on the website and such, but would it be appropriate to give them my resume? What are some other things I could do?

Make a little cute "business card" about yorself - write all your info and contact on one side and a personalized note to the rep with thanks for something specific (i.e. advice on X issue). That will jog their memory later, when they find it in your file :)

they may find that annoying. imagine if every student they met with did that. they probably meet 100 potential applicants a day begging them for admissions and shrug off each one. by making a buisness card you dont really increase your chances in their eye, you are just being desperate for attention because you feel inadequate

reps are horrible people who feed off of our anguish.
