Okay, I'm sorry to make this kind of a topic, and I'm sure my apology isn't going to be accepted. I did search the forum before posting though. I'm pretty sure there is no topic regarding the December 1st deadline here. :

Anyways, I applied on Nov. 30th via CommonApp. I read here somewhere that if you go through the SOLAR app process, you'll know within 2-3 weeks if you got accepted/rejected through the SOLAR program.

I would just like to know if it's the same time limit for the CommonApp. Also, will I be sent an Email on my Yahoo account, or...is there another way they will inform me? Thanks in advance!

If you’re applying for fall, as a freshman, which I’m assuming, then you will not hear anything until mid-February. Regardless of which application you use, we still need to take the time to put all the pieces (transcripts, test scores, etc.) together. That will take several weeks… hang in there, and we’ll get notifications out as soon as we can; but it’s not going to happen until February.

You’ll know when you sign onto SOLAR and you see more stuff on there then you do now, particularly, a “New Students” tab in the main part of the page, below the three things you see there now (should be “Security and Personal Data”, “SB Alert Emergency Information” and “Student Admission”). The school never says anything about this (and sort of gives you a blank look when you mention it) but it’s known already as the first way of knowing. A short time later you’ll get an updated message on SOLAR in your “Admission Status” link, and then you’ll get the official “Congratulations” letter in the mail.

I know it is, Maaza, but you’ll pull through. Just need to keep your mind occupied for a bit, especially when you’re off of school now for break.
