<p>any college that can bring out your full potential and provide you with means to succeed. stop trying to define these colleges, its pointless.</p>

<p>It's not pointless, the point is to generalize and see which colleges are perceived as "top colleges" on CC. Of course I agree the best colleges aren't always the highly ranked ones for a person, but to say that a top college is "any college that can bring out your full potential and provide you with means to succeed" is not helpful at all (and obviously wrong as we aren't talking about the top college for a single person but rather many people). Colleges can be defined and put into tiers for <em>useful purposes</em>. I would argue that "top colleges" "can -more than often- help bring out many people's full potential and provide them with means to succeed" more than colleges that aren't in the "top college" tier. Where you draw the line is up to you.</p>
