When your bs child is sick...Ugh!

<p>So, has anyone else gotten the call from their child this year when you can tell immediately that they are sick? Not just tired, not just a little cold...but really, really under the weather?</p>

<p>I think that is one of the worst parts of having them away. Knowing that, as responsible and nice as the adults are on campus, as caring as they are, as considerate as their roommate may be, as much as their teammates surround them with Gatorade and encouragement...
you sense that being HOME, in bed, is what they really, really need.</p>

<p>Mine will be home for a Feb. break soon and said she can chug along until then and will hit the infirmary Monday if not feeling better...but I hate to not be there giving her soup, liquids...and a hug!</p>

<p>Been there recently, Taben, and DC is not coming home til next month. We are headed there next weekend. Maybe all the snow will allow for some extra rest? Does your DD Skype? We found that a good way to spend some time with ours, and we also went ahead and called the dorm parent just to ask for a little extra attention. Hope she’s on the mend soon!</p>
