Where are all the Muslims participating in Ramadan at?

10 minutes to go for today...and why do people keep calling it sehri, we call it suhur over here :)

dude, language difference! In south asia it's called sehri and iftaar.
so, how long do you have to fast in Egypt?

we call it suhur too...i was wondering the same thing...

how many hours, you mean? well, from 4 AM to 6 PM. So about 14 hours.

sheed30 - where r u from?

I live in Portland Oregon in the US...my "family" is from Libya :D

I've heard people from Libya speak arabic before, it's nothing like the Egyptian dialect, so how come they both call it "suhur"? ..just wondering..

no idea... suhur is all "Arab countries" sehri is like "non-arab" countries from what i know...and btw i'm up for Suhur right now :D lol i woke up early :D

it's still midnight over here, and tomorrow is friday, so I won't need to wae up early for school....so no suhur for me...

lol....it's 9:50 pm on Thursday right now....

^ lol, West Coast™

Every night, the MSA students get together for iftaar... For shuhur (this is how the Afghans in my family say it, at least), I eat at about 5AM: One can of V8 vegetable juice, a glass of milk, a fruit, and a bagel. Lots of water, as well.

I'm eating out today...pizza hut, with 2 friends.

niiiiiiiiiice...wait there's pizza hut in Egypt?

Everything is everywhere now, and I bet it's been there for quite a while in Egypt!

lol why does everyone think that people here live in tents in the middle of nowhere? lol...yeah there are lots of int'l restaurants, shops, etc... but burger king just opened its first branch in cairo a few months ago...

Everything is everywhere now. that's not true, i was in Libya last summer and in the entire country they do not have ONE American company or franchise. No McDonald's no Pizza Hut no nothing at all..

You guys are lucky. How many Jains are there to band with during Paryushan on CC?

wdf are you talking about?

Apparently, any world history class you've taken certainly wasn't very comprehensive.

I'm taking AP World History this year. sorry, we are only 2 weeks into the school year :( so wanna explain it to me?

I'd rather not; it's pretty complex. Most people will learn about Jainism before AP World, but I suppose that I may be thinking a bit to provincially. I'll give you some links:
