A bunch of people with lower stats than me from my school got in to each. But then again, I accidentally submitted a wrong short essay for UVA (but tried mailing in the correct version--not sure if it helped). And my Gtown interview was just okay/medicore.

I got into other colleges but I actually would have preferred attending one of the above. (I didn't realize this until much later, and now I wish I had I actually worked harder on these apps, instead of just breezing through them and assuming things would work out.) =(

Was sure I would get into Univ of Delaware and Northeastern U. It's okay though, I believe I am going to get into my 1st choice tomorrow. Let's Hope!

it's not so much that i think i should have gotten in, it's just that i really wish they would have accepted me... (why?!? Penn & Dartmouth!!! why?!?) :( (goes to play in traffic)

I was surprised that I got into WashU but waitlisted at Georgetown, Johns Hopkins and Claremont McKenna. My friend (also valedictorian) got into MIT and Harvard but waitlisted at Hopkins as well so I guess Hopkins was especially tough this year? Georgetown I kind of understand because I applied to the School of Foreign Service. But Hopkins? So weird. Ugh who knows colleges are so unpredictable.

my friends and i had the strangest experience with college decisions..
first off, i was waitlisted at cornell, rejected at northwestern, duke, and a bunch of other ivies, but somehow managed to get into upenn!
my friend got rejected at cornell, duke, berkeley, dartmouth but manged to get into penn and brown and got waitlisted at princeton, stanford, and columbia!
now comes the strangest part.. my friend got into penn and YALE, waitlisted by columbia, but rejected by all the other ivies..

I got into UChi but got waitlisted by JHU and Vandy. I was mostly surprised by Vandy tho bc my stats are pretty good and I do a lot of leadership and EC's... I was also shocked by JHU and Vandy bc I know people who got in and had lower stats than me and no EC's or leadership.

Accepted to UCLA, USC (with full tuition scholarship), and Stanford.

When the Stanford acceptance came a couple days after that fateful March 27, I almost had to laugh at the Berkeley rejection. Who gets into Stanford and not Berkeley?! (Well, apparently me). I'm not upset, Berkeley is undeniably a phenomenal school, and all in all, I'm really grateful to have such wonderful options as it is.
