hi
i am an international student and i need to send portions of my application packet via postal service. i have been looking at the college websites but i could hardly find the postal address of the colleges......actually i am a bit confused as i am not much aware of the us postal system and their addresses. where can i basically find the postal address????????/
is it fine to copy/paste the address given in the collegeboard wesite--but then portions of it include the telephone no... i guess and am not sure upto where i am supposed to omit..is it trustworthy...in a sense colleges might have updated address and collegeboard might still have the old ones......
can anyone help me plzzzzzzzzzzz

i know this may sound ridiculous but i don't want my packet ending up in a wrong place hehe.
thanks.

What schools are you looking at? Most have snail mail addresses on their websites but it can be hard to find. Very often it will be printed on the last page of the application if they have an online version.

thanks for your prompt reply. there are many colleges i am applying to
some good lacs(mac, trincoll, dickinson) and some safety colleges and state unis. portions of my application packet like the GC/teacher reco, transcript,cv,fee waiver, supplementary materials are to be sent through snail mail. but am having a hard time just finding the postal address.

I found Dickinson's mailing address with two mouse clicks once I got to their homepage. Try looking at the admissions offices homepages. You'll find the mailing addresses there.

Just keep looking. They're there. Tsdad's suggestion of looking at the admission page is good.
Trinity (on the left) Trinity College
Dickinson (at the bottom. Note that the 10 digit number at the end is not part of the address but a phone number) Dickinson College

More general: addresses can be found on web sites and you would send to the college Office of Admissions or whatever the particular college calls its admissions office (sometimes its Admissions Office, sometimes Department of Admissions, sometimes Director of Admissions and Records, and possibly other similar; the web site should provide the name). Then in the US what you have is a street address, followed sometimes by a particular room at the address, city, state (usually abbreviated) and zip code (which is a number that identifies the particular local post office). For example, if sending to Trinity, you would usually send to the following:

Admissions Office
Trinity College
300 Summit Street
Hartford, CT, 06106

Now, what I do not know is what you need to put on the envelope to get your letter out of your country and to the US. Also note, one way I have had luck with finding a page that quickly gives the address for a college is to simply put in Google: office admissions [name of college] address. For example put into Google search bar the following and Trinity's address page for admissions is the first hit: office admissions trinity college address
