Where do we stand on the depth chart- i should have asked!

My Daughter is being recruited by one DII and several DIII schools. Her first choice by far is the DII. We have never been through the process before. An assistant coach saw her at a tournament and we were asked to come up for a visit. We were given tour by head coach and assistant very nice answered ur questions etc. When we had our initial visit we asked and were told that they were recruiting three kids for her year. We did not ask where she stood on their depth chart which I have learned we should have asked. I know there is at least one ahead of her who recd a scholarship offer. After our initial visit The head coach came to see my daughter play at a tournament called her the next day said she was impressed etc wanted to "accelerate the process" have her back in sept to meet team etc. she is going in a few weeks.

I guess im wondering if the fact that we are coming for a second visit after beeing seen again means she will likely get an offer to play and or a partial scholarship, she should get at least a half tuition academic scholarship we were told. I am also wondering if me or my daughter should ask the coach now or at the upcoming meeting were we stand. We are being asked by a few schools to come visit. If we knew she was going to get an offer from the DII we would probably eliminate several of those visits.

Thanks for any info

I answered on your other post too about keeping the other options open. I would also suggest that your DD get her application off to this school before your next visit. Many schools won’t let coaches talk money until the student has applied so just something to consider. Also, getting applications in early often means a better chance of merit money to go with the athletic money.

Thanks for your advice about posting here as well as the App. Coach asked her to apply after first visit which we have done, no question that academically shes a shoe in and will get some academic money. Coach asked her to re take ACT as she can get a full academic scholarship if it hits a certain number.
