Where Do You Expect Colgate's Ranking To Be Next Year/?

I’ve been accepted into the Class of 2022 and I am fairly curious about what people think about Colgate’s future US News and World/Forbes rankings. I know that rankings are not the end all be all and really have little to no significance unless you are aspiring to work in more exclusive, label driven professions such as finance or medicine. But as someone who did not get in to another prestigious LAC, I just want to hear people’s opinions on the future of Colgate and where it stands compared to other LAC and national universities.

The sense I have gotten is that Colgate is one of those hidden gems that is on the rise in prominence and notoriety, consistently placing in the top ranking when it comes to post-graduate and median salaries and job placement. Also with the career center and loyal alumni network, I imagine there is a sense of pride and dedication to Colgate that is unmatched at other institutions.

Do you see Colgate moving up into the Top 10 LACs in the country in the foreseeable future?

I have no idea what that answer might be re next year. And I do like your enthusiasm!

How about this for an idea? Matriculate, do your part, and make Colgate an even better place! Whatever it is that you do at Colgate may well reflect in its rankings. But more importantly you will be proud of your achievements. And what could be better than that?

I don’t think Colgate is a ‘hidden gem’, as it has always been a highly regarded school with strong academic programs and a strong alumni network. To move into the ‘to 10’. would mean one of those schools would have to move out, and that is probably not a likely scenario. Doesn’t mean that Colgate isn’t fantastic.
