Hey there,
I am a high school students from abroad who wants to pursue my education in the US. I received full tuition cover from some private high schools but my family can't afford living expenses in the US (e.g host family, meals, transportation etc.) Do you know any scholarship funds for high school students like me? Between I have high GPA, good recommendations from teachers and high standardized test scores. I have also attended lots of extracurricular activities.
Thank you very much.

Please reply. I am very desperate about this. My family’s annual income is very low, only about $12000.

Anyone? Please answer me this. Thank you.

Have you applied to boarding schools? Many offer financial aid that include room and board. Post on the ‘prep school’ board.

You have already received full tuition, room and board scholarships from the US, displacing funds that could have gone to US students. Perhaps you should look to resources within your own country.

Toadstool, OP received a full tuition scholarship - s/he’s looking for funds to cover room, board and transportation.

assign, what country are you from and what grade are you in? If it doesn’t have to be a private school, why don’t you look into foreign exchange programs (which would only require transportation and funds can be raised for that) or see if there are any US church groups that might sponsor you and place you with a host family. I think this is normally done for refugees, but it may be available for minor students as well.

Thank you all for your replies.
@sk8ermom: I am not looking forward to a foreign exchange program because I want to finish my next 3 years of high school in the US, not only 1 year like in an exchange program. Also I don’t belong to a church group or any religious affiliations. Anyway thank you for your answer.
