Where does your non-refundable $250 SIR Deposit get allocated to if you cancel your SIR?

I submitted my Statement of Intent to Register to UC San Diego along with a non-refundable $250 deposit. Four days later I was accepted to UCLA off the waitlist, and I canceled my UCSD SIR and submitted another SIR with another non-refundable $250 deposit to UCLA. Since my initial deposit was intended to be applied to my Fall Quarter UCSD tuition, where will this $250 be allocated now?

Since the SIR deposit is non-refundable or transferable, it probably goes into a general fund for use at each specific UC campus where you cancelled your admission.
