Where is my Decision?

Is it me, or is too much time elapsing since the "We will notify you after Feb. 1 thing? I mean I'm getting kinda angry, maybe I'll just go to 'Nova to spite them. Hehe.

i wouldnt worry, i applied in october and was notified in late december but a friend of mine got the same letter you did and he still hasnt been notified

I called yesterday - and we all will be notified in a week or two

What is your major?

im undecided but i dont think im going to st josephs...is it your first choice?

No. Beside that, I was waitlisted.

I actually just got back from sju. I went to see sju and dickinson this weekend. in all honesty, I wasn't as impressed as i thought i would be. Today, as soon as I got home, i received my letter. I was shocked - only because I was above their averages. Weird, right?

What is your first choice? I like Dickinson and Boston University

actually my first choice is penn and my second is BC, but I live in phiilly, so SJU is a good second to Penn and Villanova if I decide to stay home.

my first choice is bc then bucknell and holy cross i think

S was also waitlisted even though his stats were in the top 25%...were you also seduced by their letter saying you were qualified, based on your academic accomplishments, for a scholarship??(...along with the other 8999 applicants they had this year!!)

yeah, i was shocked to know that i was eligable for numerous scholarships yet was waitlisted. is sju a big legacy school?

I am quite shocked actually, I was eligible for all this $, had my app in early, stats rocked and got waitlisted...bummer, but for anyone who hasn't visited, St. Joe's really isnt worth it...Sorry to everyone who got w-l, anyone else considering Nova out of spite :-)

good point tothemaxbro, i was at sju this past weekend - and it felt like one big catholic high school. argh. everything happens for a reason!

I was waitlisted too!
At the risk of sounding incredibly arrogant: there is no way that I should have been waitlisted. The good thing? I've already gotten into better schools so it doesn't matter at all.

what were all of your stats??

wow im really surprised u were waitlisted... totaly unfair

I'm suprised as well. When did you apply? I applied one week before the deadline, and I think that was the problem, knowing that it's rolling admissions. Maybe a lot of the already admitted students submitted their verification of attending SJU when I was submitting my application. Who knows?

Well, everything happens for a reason, and I'm already into better schools, so that's ok. =)

1360, 3.8, 6/224. Editor of Paper, Super Community Service...yada...yada...yada... not the only top student from my school waitlisted. I really hope I get into BC (just to spite them)

i applied mid october i think and then i heard around december 22nd

tothemaxbro: yeah i have basically the same stats you do and i would love to go to bc... i donno though its so competitive

wow, my stats were average for the school, i did expect to get in, but 3.9 and 1340 an wl, that stinks, you can do much better than st joes...i am a slacker, evidenced by my low gpa, so i will list some of my stats....3.0 gpa at a very competative public high school, 2 ap courses, 3.8 1st semester gpa senior year...1330 sat score...740m/590v...school is unranked, 700 math 1c, 660 math2c, 630 writing, vice president of nationally recognized club, varisty athletics 3 years - 2 sports, bunch of other stuff, gvery good recs, good essays, i got accepted ea.
