This probably isn’t the best place to post this but…

I believe the Ivies are overrated. It seems like most students only go there for the name. I’d much rather go to a school that fits my personality and interests. I’ve read comments from students at Harvard, and many say that Harvard does not meet their expectations, due to the lack of professor availability, lack of help from the school, and the off-putting personalities of the students. But to be fair, there are many satisfied students there also.

The point I guess I’m trying to make is that I wish for once that a Valedictorian would choose a school that is perfect for him or her. If he or she feels comfortable with one of the Ivies, then fine, but wouldn’t it be better to choose a school that is right for him or her instead of automatically choosing the schools that are supposedly the cr

^Why does it matter what anyone else does. You choose a school that fits your personality, done.

Lol. It doesn’t matter. I just have my own little philosophy on things. But yeah… back to the topic: Where is the valedictorian of your school going next year?

I think he’s going to MIT or Caltech.

big will,
i’m the valedictorian of my class and i didn’t apply to a single ivy league (or mit/stanford) because none of them fit my interests or personality as well as other schools. i got into every school i applied to and decided on going to the one that i’ve wanted to go to since i discovered my passion.

Yay! Congratulations mcgee! Congrats for being accepted into every school you applied to, and congrats for choosing the school that was right for you. It’s nice to see that someone cares more about their own interests than the name or prestige of a school. :)
