I'm an engineering person, needing to fill my humanities requirement with the "series" classes. This means that I need to take two classes in the same department outside of my major, and one of the classes needs to be upper division. I was thinking about taking psych classes, but I just wanted to check the upper division psych classes to see what the prerequisites are. Where can I find this information? From the non-authoritative tidbits I could gather, it looked like the only prerequisite for most of them is psych 1. Is this accurate? Are these classes time-consuming?

Prerequisites are listed in the course listings in the general catalog:

yup. most of the non-11X classes only require psych 1. the 11x ones usually recommend bio 1a or bio psych but I think it might be OK to enroll even without them without being at too much of a disadvantage.

some of the 120 ones require cog sci 100 though i think.
