I am in a real dilemma here, I am trying to decide where to go to school.

My options are George Mason, Catholic University and Pace University (NYC), I was wondering from what you guys know which one do you think would be a better school?

My friend is also in this situation and was wondering what was better, Northeastern or American?

They are both excellent schools and you can get a fine education at either. Congradulations. George Mason is a bit more of a commuter school -- many kids go home on weekends. One of my cousins went there, graduated a couple years ago, and lived at home, but was vry happy. On the other hand, if you like privacy, good chance your dorm room will be a single on weekends. I am certain you know, its not in DC, but a very quick metro ride in. Virginia has been putting a lot of $$$ into GMU, and they have some top people, especially in economics. Catholic has a more established reputation, and depending on finaid will be more expensive.

thank you so much for your input, George Mason being a commuter school was something that I was worried about because I live close but I am really not looking to go home that often but the con of Catholic is its size.

I know of someone who is very happy at Catholic. Also, know of kids at both Northeastern and American and they like it as well. Best of luck with your decision.

George Mason is not a commuter school anymore. They just built a ton of housing on campus, the place is huge now, completely different. Like the comment said above they put a ton of $$ into GMU and still are pumping money into it. I have never heard of Catholic until recent, its not very well known.

Catholic University has been around for over 100 years and in the Catholic community it is VERY well known, and has some superb progrrams and a decent law school. GMU is fine. But they are different schools completely. Visit both and see what you like or don’t like.
