Where to start (or what to do) to gain entrance into Med School

@FreedomRider1

Are you planning to apply for medical school admission for fall 2023? If so, you really should have sent in your applications by now. I believe the applications opened up in June.

Medical schools schedule interviews, and many acceptances on a rolling basis. The earlier in the admissions cycle, the better. Simply put, getting an interview in January is fine and folks do get admitted…but there are less slots left to fill in most classes by then.

So…what is your plan? Do you have a new list of MD and DO schools that you have applied to…or what?

This may only be the case in uncommon situations where the supply of desirable qualified applicants is small relative to the number of job openings seeking those applicants. This is not the case for most kinds of jobs most of the time.

Indeed. Looking back, I don’t think I got a single job that way. It’s always been “You say you’re looking for X, but I believe you are really looking for Y. Here’s why, and how I can make this happen for you…”
