Ok, im going into my senior year in high school and my ecs are really low.
I dont really know where or how to start. My mom is an RN at the hospital on post so maybe i can ask if i can volunteer there? But what else is there?

ECs for the most part just serve to get you into college alone. In a college interview, for example, if you say you're interested in medicine, the interviewer won't ask you how well you did on your school's soccer team or whatever.. you will be asked why you want to do medicine, what got you interested, etc. Do whatever ECs you can for now (academic or athletic or whatever) to make yourself desirable for college in general. Volunteering at a hospital would be a good idea too, since many med programs look for hours done in a medical setting.

Take as many sciences or AP scienes as you can, and shop around to see what universities you may be interested in. Different colleges have different preferences for things like SAT IIs (very common one: chemistry), volunteering, and other related things. Mostly, keep your grades up and do well on standardized tests.

-Shadow doctors...I'm sure your mom can hook you up
-Volunteer in the community as well as in a medical environment
-Join clubs
-Do something that shows leadership (start an awareness day or something at your school)
-Take plenty of science classes
-Try to keep/get your GPA up
-Do well on standardized tests
-If you are applying for the bs/md programs (or reach schools in general), practice your interview skills and writing skills
