Where to stay?

Need an idea of the best place to stay when visiting Princeton. Close to campus a plus. thanks

The Nassau Inn. Just step outside and you’re basically on campus.

The Nassau Inn is lovely, but remember it is an historic hotel, so rooms and bathrooms can be small, especially in the older main building. It has great colonial charm in the center of Nassau Square shops and restaurants, across the street is Princeton, as Ray described.

Not sure on your budget - Homewood Suites by Hilton About $100 a night free breakfast, Light dinner, Mon-Thurs. 2 miles from campus - hotel shuttle service to campus if you don’t have a car. Separate bedroom and pull out couch area. Kitchen. relatively new. Check out tripadvisor.com for review and features of other hotels in the Princeton area. Tripadvisor will help you find places to stay on your other college visits.

thanks for all your help.

If you’re visiting during the school year you should stay with a current student! If you don’t know anyone from your school who’s currently here, see if you can find a friend of a friend or something. You’ll get a much better sense of campus life. And come on a Thursday night!

Inn’s good only for the expensive rooms. The regular rooms are actually terrible–go elsewhere or pay to get the nicer rooms.

Here’s an option most people don’t consider: stay at the Chauncey Conference Center on the Educational Testing Services campus. The rooms are both nice and cheap, and it feels great to give the College Board more money. ;)
